The Parish comprises an area bounded by the River Severn, the Blackpool, Soudley and Bideford brooks. Encompassed within these boundaries are the villages of Awre, Blakeney, Etloe, Gatcombe, Two Bridges and Viney Hill - 86% of the population being in and around Blakeney village as this is on the main A48 road leading from Chepstow to Gloucester.
This is an area of astounding beauty being part of the Royal Forest of Dean, seeing large numbers of tourists every year, all with diverse interests. The area has much to offer it's visitors, virtually anything from historic information to leisure activities, the area has something for all.
